Getting Started
How far in advance should I book MILK services? We recommend booking during your second trimester (20-28 weeks) to ensure availability and allow time for proper planning. However, we can often accommodate families with shorter notice, especially for our Legacy and Partner Experiences.
Do I need to commit to a specific package, or can I customize? Every MILK experience is fully customizable. Our signature experiences are starting points that we tailor to your specific needs, schedule, and preferences. We can combine elements from different experiences or create something entirely unique for your family.
What if my due date changes or I have complications? We build flexibility into every plan. Our team remains on call from 38 weeks, and we adjust all logistics based on your actual delivery date and any complications. Your investment is protected regardless of timing changes.
Investment & Payment
What does the investment include? Each experience includes all services listed on the specific service page, plus coordination, logistics management, and virtual support access. Any add-on services are clearly itemized separately.
Do you offer payment plans? Yes, we offer flexible payment plans for all experiences. Typically, this includes a booking deposit, a payment at 36 weeks, and final payment upon service completion. Custom arrangements can be made for longer experiences.
What if I need to cancel or modify my services? We understand that circumstances change. Cancellations made before 32 weeks receive a full refund minus the booking deposit. Modifications are always welcome and we work with you to adjust services as your needs evolve.
Are there any additional costs I should expect? All standard services are included in your quoted investment. The only additional costs would be optional add-on services you choose to include. We're completely transparent about all pricing upfront.
Do you accept insurance? Insurance can cover a portion of your support, namely, your therapeutic sessions. We accept FSA/HSA payments for everything not covered by insurance.
Service Delivery
Who will be providing my care? You'll have a primary doula who serves as your main point of contact, plus specialized team members for services like lactation support, therapy, and chef services. You'll meet all team members during your planning process.
What if I don't connect with my assigned doula? While rare, we understand that personality fit is crucial. We can arrange to meet with different team members during planning, and can make adjustments if needed to ensure you're completely comfortable with your care team.
How do you handle scheduling and logistics? Your team coordinator manages all scheduling, vendor coordination, and logistics. You'll have a weekly planning call to adjust services as needed, and all changes are handled seamlessly by our team.
What if I need support outside of scheduled hours? All experiences include virtual access for questions and guidance. Emergency support is available 24/7, and we can arrange additional in-person support with same-day notice when possible.
Privacy & Safety
How do you ensure privacy and discretion? All team members sign comprehensive confidentiality agreements. We use secure communication platforms, and our professional protocols ensure complete discretion about your family and any personal information.
